I enjoyed your blog and the video clips of your students. It's great to know that kids are reading for leisure and they seem to be excited about their book reviews. I can see how your enthusiasm and expertise has helped your students reach their potential in literature. Your students seem to be very comfortable with technology and public speaking. They are the perfect role models for their school.
I love how you have incorporated written and video book reviews by your students onto you blog! You have certainly demonstrated how blogs can be used effectively in an instructional program. I like, too, how you have preserved the anonymity of your student bloggers as a safety strategy.
A few more thoughts. In reviewing the given rubric for grading this assignment, I feel that your blog shows a great deal of creativity. It effectively uses color and graphics (I love the book jackets), I appreciated the information provided in the sidebar, and the videos of your "guest bloggers" were a wonderful addition. The style and appearance were were very appropriate for your intended audience, and there were virtually no erros in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. The links were functioning and well-chosen. I think the information you provided about your guest bloggers was an effective way of documenting those particular sources while still protecting the students' online identities.
You have a great idea for a blog. Providing book reviews written by students not only shows that students understand what they have read but it provides reviews written at the level other students of the same age can get meaning from. Taking this one step further by providing video book reviews goes a long way in trying to get more students interested in reading.

I thought that the blog was creative and well-formatted. It was a great to see the direct link to Amazon for your book. The content was solid overall, and very informative. Score: 10/10
Setting up the blog to contain both written and video reviews of books is very creative and is especially accessible for any visitor. The layout and color scheme fits it perfectly, making it enjoyable to the eyes. What I especially liked were the short-and-sweet reviews on the books. 10/10.
The lay-out was very well done. The links and photographs helped support the written words and the videos made a very good supplemental piece to the writing. 10/10
Hi Monica. I really like the way you use your blog to create a library selection website. This technique is truly insightful and is extremely useful to create a digital record that can be grade or age range specific. I have done something like this using my library website, however, I think a blog is more useful for a librarian, because it offers instant feedback from your library patrons. Furthermore, it offers a medium for students / library patrons to offer their opinions about what they read, thereby, truly growing in digital communication awareness that is thought based.
What a great idea to ask your students to review books on your blog. Particularly, the video version. I know a lot of kids like reading but they may not like to write a review. Ali Rezaei
